Interview with Winder Dairy

I Just wanted to write and let you know that i went to a interview with Winder Dairy today- i interviewed with a Bob smith! he is very nice. The interview was only maybe about 10 minutes long- he told me about the position more into detail. It is door to door sales and it is straight commission. Anyhow as i was interviewing i found and caught myself and it's a habit but, i found myself more than once saying "UM!" again it's a habit at the same time though i think that maybe affecting the outcomes of these interviews. Any advice, tips or idea's on that? i mean i know it's me that is doing it but anything you can think of that would help me not do that- probably not. any advice or anything you can offer would be great.

Interview

I am so excited... As many of you may know i applied for a position at the new WinCo foods store that will be opening in West Valley City, Utah soon! i got a call back and invited to a Information meeting tomorrow afternoon at the E-Center at 3:30 PM- I Hope it goes well. I am so excited! I will keep you posted on everything. If you could all keep me in your thoughts and prayers tonight and all day tomorrow and tomorrow night i would appreciate it.

Information meeting and Interview- WinCo foods...

I just wanted to add a "official" post to let you all know how my pre employment information meeting went with WinCo foods on Friday afternoon. It was held at the E-Center here in West Valley City, Utah- I met with them Friday afternoon at 3:30 PM the meeting was 1 1/2 hours long till 5 P.M. I was invited to a interview this Wednesday September 30th, 2009 @ 1:45 PM at the E-center. Here is my Dilemma... They are a 24 hour a day 7 days a week store- they said in this meeting that "We are looking for people with complete open availability who can work any day and any time." "Not individuals who are looking for set schedules- we need people to work on and be apart of a team!" "Not set schedules etc." "If you are looking for a mon-fri 9-5 or 7-3- (a set schedule) then were not looking for that!" With that being said... I am not going to be able to as least as far as i understand and if i understand correctly- going to be able to only be available to work till let's say midnight (for example) i have to be able to work any shift and day. So if i get the job and or pursue this further there is a very good chance i will be working graveyards, alot or most sundays etc. The problem with that is no church!!, if for example i was to get off in the middle of the night- no way to get home- as i do not have my own car and the busses do not "run" in the middle of the night. So i do not know what to do- I want to be able to go to church - at the same time i do not know what to do because since we all are looking for work and even though no one at home has expressed it (my mom and dad) i feel alot of pressure to i guess you would say "comprimise my standards" and what i am really willing to do to be the provider of the family. Don't get me wrong i do not mind contributing to the family but, to be what i feel would be the sole provider. I feel like i would fail the family and things will "go downhill!" if i don't take this job or anything. I am so scared, worried and confused and discouraged. I should be happy and excited for this interview but, the way i am feeling right now i'm not. HELP!!!

Interview with WinCo foods...

First of all i will say... I do not think i got the job @ WinCo foods. I think my "Journey" as far as the application process has came to a end today with WinCo foods. I went to the interview waited for a few minutes to be called for my interview and then i was called for my interview. Went through the interview and at the end the interviewer/WinCo foods rep. Said "Okay, well that is it- we will let you know within a few days either by phone or letter!" "Thank you so much for coming in!" That is the update!!!

Updates from the past couple of weeks...

The following posts (individually) will be updates on my job search from the past couple of weeks. Enjoy! hope you are doing well...

WinCo Foods...

I filled out a Application for Winco Foods they are opening stores here in West Valley City, Utah and Midvale, Utah- they were at the E-Center this whole week. They were supposed to be till 5 PM tonight but had to close the "application" process.
This is why....

"Due to the overwhelming response by applicants Hemet, CA and both Utah stores are unable to schedule any further interviews. If you have completed the survey your application will be kept on file for 6 months. If after this period of time you'are still interested in employment, please feel free to contact us at the store locations once they open. Thank you. "

Mom, Dad and i all filled out and turned in completed applications this morning after they had officially stopped handing out apps. They said they were accepting completed applications just not handing anymore out. So i hope we all at least get a interview. Will keep you posted!

APPLICATION- NANNY- LDS NANNY...

I applied via www.yourchildsnanny.com for a position as a nanny. They have three "branches" a US NANNY, HAWAII AND LDS" and so i put in my application and attached to the application since i'm LDS a letter of recomendation from my homeward bishop. And here is a copy of the email that indicates the reciept of my application. (Hope that makes sense)!

"Thank you for your application. Due to an overwhelming number of applicants, we have changed our screening process. At this time, we are only going to be accepting 10 new nannies into the agency for placement during the summer months. We have preliminarily chosen your application to be one of our new nannies, however, we are requiring our second application to be filled out prior to your phone interview to ensure you are a good fit for our agency. This application is always required, but it’s generally done after the telephone interview.

I have attached our Nanny Packet for your review. Please read the packet carefully and make sure you understand how our process works and that you are interested in working with our agency before filling out the link below.

Other information important to consider before filling out the second application:

· It is unlikely that you will be placed with an LDS family – our families are searching for LDS nannies and are respectful of their lifestyle and beliefs, but few of our families are actually LDS themselves. Our nannies are required to have Sunday off and we will set you up with a ward in your new area.

· If you have never been a nanny before (regardless of your childcare experience) most jobs are starting between $250 - $300 weekly due to recent changes in the economy. Experienced nannies could make significantly more.

· Most of our nannies are placed on the East Coast, New York, Connecticut, New Jersey and Washington D.C. We do get family applicants from everywhere, but you should be willing to relocate to this area.

· You MUST be willing to commit to at least a year. There is a trial period with every family to ensure a good fit, but placements for less than a year are not accepted.

· We WILL conduct a thorough screening of all your references and do a background check complete with a DMV report. If you have any criminal activity or bad references, you will not be accepted into the agency. Minor traffic infractions are allowed and all driving records will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

· If you are LDS, we will require a letter of recommendation from your Bishop. If you are not LDS or cannot provide this letter, you may still be a nanny under our USA branch.

If you feel that you meet all of our requirements and have reviewed the packet in it’s entirety, please complete the second application available by clicking the following link: www.yourchildsnanny.com/forms/index.php/questionnaire. This link could take 30-45 min and cannot be paused in the middle. Please allow yourself adequate time to complete the link. Also remember that spelling and grammar are important, please take the time to do your best (we are not looking for perfection!!). On the skills section of the questionnaire we will ask you to rate yourself on a scale of 0-5. Changing diapers isn’t rocket science, if you can complete a task sufficiently without assistance, more than likely you are a 5, don’t sell yourself short. Remember, if accepted, our families will very carefully read what you have to say. Please put careful thought into your answers.

Thank you for taking the time to apply with us. Our nannies are invaluable to our business and we will carefully take the time to read each and every applicants answers. If you have any questions before filling out the link, you are more than welcome to call me during business hours. We hope to receive your applications by Friday and applicants will be considered on a first come, first serve basis.
